He has an aide put his rubber stamped name on other Senators work. Then people who have no clue what the difference is between a resolution and a bill, can post in this thread about lies n facts n stats and praise the name of a worthless pork barreling 20 year career do nothing politician.

I will say he has mised more votes than usual lately(as in above average for him and the senate average; missed 4%), but he is also in many committes that do quite a bit. Writing legislation isn't the only thing a politician does and as we have seen(or some of us have). A full time congress generally does a lot more damage becuase they fill their time with BS legislation. Look at me I wrote a bill for universal background checks, a bill that bans high capacity mags, a bill that outlaws open carry, a bill that limits the number of firearms you can buy in a month, a bill that limits what brand/type of firearms are legal for sale in the state, a bill that requires you to wait 10 days after your firearm purchase before you can obtain posession of your property etc.(all bills that have passed in a CA full time congrss).

So when some gun banner sponsors a bill called the "Secure Ammunition and Firearms Enforcement Act", you know that means they intend to ensure that everyone has a safe to store their firearms in when they're not at home, right? Or when they introduce the "Public Safety and Second Amendment Rights Protection Act", they're trying to ensure that you have access to a firearm in public and will protect everyone's constitutional right to possess an firearm?

C'mon Lurk, you know better than to come in with a weak argument such as the name of a bill! That is the absolute WORST method you can use to judge the quality or applicability of one!

Most of the stuff he sponsors has a direct positive impact for Oklahoma business interests. In that manner, he represents his state better than many of the "crusaders" on the hill. Besides, he's still around because everyone in the OKGOP is too scared to run against him and no one the Dems put up against him stands a chance. Tulsa may be the most liberal city in OK, but it ain't no Austin!
