PSO can bite me! It's my money, and I'll spend it however I want. Get bigger generators.
If they don't have enough capacity they need to build more and stop this dangerous nonsense. We must not let them turn the clock back. A modern society requires plentiful electricity, these schemes are unacceptable. The next step will be rolling blackouts and we will be asked to cooperate because they just don't have the capacity and we need to understand, etc.
Screw them, I don't understand nothing, they need to understand that they need to do what it takes to provide us with the energy we need. This is how it works with the socialists, you have to sacrifice for the common good as defined by them.
I would however LOVE an electric car if they were affordable, economically sound and practical.
Now you're just being unreasonable.
Unfortunatly, you are talking to the wrong people.
You need to address your concerns to the Okla Corp Commission. They are the ones that regulate if and when the utility companies can or cannot build new power plants.
The Utility companies recognize that Okla is in dire need of additional base load capacity.
In 2008 OG&E had all of the paperwork in order, engineering, and construction companies under contract, and was only weeks away from starting construction of a new power plant at the current location of Sooner Power plant.
The Okla Corporation Commission elected to squash the project, insisting that OG&E install more wind farms, and buy a mothballed gas plant.
BTW, I wouldn't have one of those units on my AC either.
PSO can bite me! It's my money, and I'll spend it however I want. Get bigger generators.
Finally, someone posting that has a clue.
This is exactly what they want. They like it when we use lots of power. But, they would like it to be spread out evenly over the whole day. When everybody has their AC on at 5:20 PM when they get home it sets a high peak demand usage, which causes them to either A.) purchase power which is expensive or B.) Install additional generating capacity, which is a large capital expense which hurts their return-on-investment. This is really not new.
