I've always had good results with my Para-Ordnance .45s. I like the brand, shoots well, quite reliable.
My Kimber Stainless Target II has been a great gun for me so far. I have had it for almost ten years and nary a problem, unless I was using some crappy lead reloads I had. I had a Colt MKIV "enhanced " once upon a time, but it was crappy. Bought a 1991 Colt Commander. Sent it to Wilson Combat for customization. Came back and STILL sucked. Sold it at a loss. Since then I have never liked Colts. Have fun, go to the local gun store and oogle some.
+1. Have only had my Loaded Champion .45 since February of this year, but it's one of the best shooting (and best looking!) guns I've owned. I'm real fond of my Glocks, but the Champion quickly earned a top berth in the safe.
