People not leaving feedback after a sale. How important is feedback on here?

I try to remind member to leave feedback at time of transaction since I'm fairly new to OSA and since I can come across as an azz sometimes in my posts...sometimes.

if it is important to you, ask them to leave you some. Feedback is important to some degree, but a phone conversation with a buyer or seller also works well. Especially if i am traveling across the state for something.

On sites like this where a lot of us kind of “know” each other, I‘ve never seen feedback as a big deal, but with all the Armslist rejects joining up to hock their wares, it’s probably going to be more important.

One guy just recently bought from me and I told him I’d leave positive feedback, he said he would too when he got home. It’s been several days and he hasn’t yet lol. Although he was one of those guys who barely has any posts, probably views this place like armslist 2.0 and I doubt he gives a crap… Oh well

Another guy recently didn’t leave me feedback on a pristine gun I sold him. Although in his case he was quite “advanced in years” and I’m not sure he was tech savvy enough to even mess with it. Oh well

I’m happy to be finding buyers either way. I guess I’m just going to not worry about that 50% who don’t leave feedback

Had a member make me an offer. He had 1 feedback and it was negative for flaking out and not showing up.

I told him why the **** would I waste my time meeting when he has a negative for not showing up? He got pissed! LOL!

My estimate would be around 50%-60% leave feedback. I don’t have much under the newer system, but had a lot when we had our own dedicated feedback threads (Car-ar-m16).

Negative feedback carries way more weight than 100 positives.

Any deals I've done are mostly a logistics nightmare. I am near nowhere and a couple hour drive to anywhere. Yet, EVERY deal has been POSITIVE.

I look at time on forum, when interested in a deal; if I don't know the name.

The "new" Armslist refugees make length of forum participation and feedback much more important.

Doesn't concern me much. On the occasion its forgotten. But an easy way to prompt it is to leave feedback for the other person.

I forget sometimes because I usually have great transactions but if I get screwed I always leave feedback. So in a way, no news is good news
Too many people look at feedback as a pat on the back.
