M1A Scout, does just fine in the brush
I'll be taking out my 6.8 SPC II chambered AR as well. So far I've only killed a squirrel and a bull frog with it. And I've sank my fair share of turtles with it as well.

Yea they are real purdy! I gotz a pre-64 with diamond checkering that my great uncle gave me. The M100 is the rifle my family has been using since they were put on the market. I know my Great Grandpa used one, and two of my Great Uncles used theirs.
My dad bought it years ago and I ended up with it. Great stuff every time I pull it out of the safe with the memories. Not in a hurry but my son will end up with it as well.

I'll probably try a different AR in 5.56/.223. I have a few hundred rounds loaded with Federal fusion 62 grain. I want to try one on a whitetail.
I may also break out the .280 ackley.

Roger that, good buddy. You have your choice of 70,75, 80, 87 & 95 grain pills. All are on the shelf and eager to please. Do you think I might have a .24 cal fetish?
