I would absolutely love to go to an silencer shoot, I've never once had an opportunity to shoot a gun with one. I don't own any NFA guns, but I'd sure as heck bring my own ammo and pay my own way on the range if somebody is generous enough to try their stuff out.

OK I am now asking for HELP!!!

My personal life is maxed out PLUS I moved last week into the "money pit". This thing needs to have a venue like now. I have spoken with Brent with USSA and he was supposed to call me back and did not. This is where I have left off. Can someone (possibly a USSA member) please get on the horn and see if we cam get some sort of thing in the works? My thinking is that if we are bringing this many people to the range then either....

1) We pay our own way and they leave us alone and it is a private venue. I would hate to be "pitched" if we are a paying customer.

2) We open the venue to anyone who wants to come. USSA would be allowed to use the event to try and generate more customers who are very potential customers. To do this... I think we need them to offer us something.... Money off.... A raffle for a free membership...... something

That do you think? Times are tough right.... this should be a pretty darn good way to try and generate more memberships.

Does someone have a contact there?

I'm thinkin' that we are turning into a full out NFA day. If someone brings a MG I thing that would be okay but we would have to set aside a time or times to do that. Id be pretty frustrated if I was looking at a silencer and could not hear it over WWIII

I'm not too sure how I feel about this. I don't know if I want the shoot to turn into a silencer trade show. Depending on how this turns out, If we have interest............ Maybe next go around. But I'll tell you now If we do , I think you might need to have some sort of sponsorship with the board to set up a dealer table at a OSA event. Might not be too fair to the other sponsors to let other dealers jump to the front of the line. Im an 01 FFL and will NOT be selling anything at the shoot or even passing out business cards. I'm doing it for fun.

This may be an event for OSA members, but unless OSA is paying for it, I wouldn't consider it an "OSA Event". Since OSA is no longer taking sponsors, Cold Hand Arms and other dealers haven't been able to become sponsors. As for a silencer trade show, that is going to happen whether you plan for it or not.

So what I'll offer now is a $500 donation towards this event. I know times are tough and people want to be able to check out suppressors without a hefty range fee. I'd like to give back for the local business I've gotten. As with before, I don't plan on having a booth there. I just want people to know that I'm here to help them with their class III sales and service.

I am down for this. I am also a member at USSA and have some contacts there if needed.
Bryon, I can bring my AAC element, AWC Archangel, AWC Raider, custom 12G suppressor on a SBR Tromix Saiga and some others including a 308 Shark suppressor and an old school two stage Sionics can on my Mac 10/45.

You can bring my SCAR-H SD if the stamp hasn't cleared before then and I can get a host gun together to run it on. If the transfer has completed and I have it then I will bring it too.

I have some interesting hosts as well, including a 5.7 pistol with SWR Spectre and SBR PS90 with AAC M4-2000 and a full auto ruger 10/22.

I will provide my own ammo for myself and anyone who wants to shoot my stuff.

Has anyone called John Titsworth/Silencer Research about this? He may be able to get some useful data out of this for the suppressor community.

Just let me know the date you are looking at and I will make sure and clear my schedule.

Tom in Tulsa.

I did read the thread; apologies if I misunderstood something. I do realize that you can't run anything through the weapons and only mentioned it because I thought someone earlier in the thread mentioned that quality factory FMJ ammo would be appreciated so that he could save travel weight.

No offense intended.:sorry4:

You shouldnt have to apologize. You are well within your right to bring whatever you want/can. I know *SOME* other people will be more appreciative.
