she asked me where it was I told her.
She told me "If you don't use any of yours I won't use any of mine"

she said KS Conceal carry permits show up under your drivers license, she asked if I had it. I showed her and she glanced at it and said, ohok.

nice. Had an ohp, just look at it, hand it back without a question, and issue me a warning for 17 over. Early morning, clean cut (me) and polite. seat belt on. Guess it wasn't my day, got my attention though. Tickets are high these days.

Okc officer just asked where weapon was, no problem, ticket issued...dang broadway extension. It just lends itself to high speed.

choctaw officer, said thanks, slow down.

I am seeing a pattern. Figure 3 strikes, so have been going the speed limit. Regardless of commute, not worth the ticket or risk of safety. Speed does greatly enhance the effects of a wreck.

About a month ago I got pulled over leaving work. Sheriff's Deputy swaggered to the truck and I handed him my license and ccw permit, with the permit on top. He started to say something then went "Oh". Said Deputy then asked me if I was carrying, where it was and what was it. I said "Yes, my side, Sig 226." "Cool" was his reply. He handed me both back and said "next time, stop at the stop sign. California stops don't count in Oklahoma."

I made it from Edmond To Ft. Riley KS in 3 and a half hours 265 miles

Left at 5:15 got there at 8:45

the funny thing is I got pulled over on the way back 15 mins into the trip.

Not to hijack the thread but it is a related question. My buddy was stopped in an OHP road block on Waterloo Road and the Officer asked him for his license and REGISTRATION? I didn't know it was required to have your vehicle registration in your car along with your insurance verification.

Anyone?

I was actually born at Geary Community Hospital (no longer there) in Juction City when my dad was stationed at Fort Riley in Oct 1976.

Good question.

I'm originally from Michigan, but I got here in '84. This is the first State I've been to where I wasn't asked for registration.

It's also the first State I've ever been taxed on groceries as well, but that's another issue. But, I've been here for almost 26 yrs and like it.

We were pulled over in Wichita for an u turn.My wife was driving and we both were packin. A male officer was ticketing the wife. She told him she had a permit and a gun on her. I was waiting to tell him also and I noticed a young female officer by my window. I put the window down and started to inform her that I had a permit and a weapon on me also. She interupted me before I could finish telling her by asking where was my gun. I told her in my pants pocket. She asked me to get out of the car and I did. She asked me to turn around and face the car and I did. I told her that I was an Oklahoma Concealed Carry Permit Instructor and I worked with the Ponca City Police Dept. in their Extra Eyes Program and that I had my P.D. id with me. She snatched that little Kel Tec .380 out of my pocket in a heartbeat.She looked at my carry permit. She asked if I had any other weapons on me? I said I had a knife and she took that also and told me to get back in the car. She later returned my weapons by putting them in the rear seat floorboard and telling me that after we drove off I could get them. By this time my wife was done getting her ticket and we drove off. Then my wife said wasn't that a little strange,I broke the law and you were drug out of the car and treated like a criminal. To shorten this up a little ,I was in contact with their chief and told him that if the little girl officer was afraid of a middle age guy in a Camry with his wife so much that she had to get me out of the car and take my weapons,why did she put me back in the car where I could reach my wife's gun? I warn the people in my SDA Classes that in Kansas you may be treated like a criminal for packin there. Profreedomokie

I grew up In NY our registration was on the window of the car, along with the inspection sticker.
