Many of you know that my job as an astronaut sometimes requires me to plunge through the atmosphere under the influence of considerable g-forces.

When I post on my phone in these circumstances(and if by the way, you don't have an IPHONE, let me assure you that it's the very fashiznitz) I sometimes make mistakes for which I can't be held resposible.

Merry Christmas Charlie Brown!

I for one say Merry Christmas. I do so because that is the holiday I celebrateand I wish you merriment as a part of MY celebration. If you are offended by my wish that you and yours would experience meriment and good will then please inform me that I have offended you. I in turn will apologize for my being inconsiderate of your feelings, smile, nod my head and say....."Then by all means Eff Ewe very much and have a blessed day :) "

By the same token should someone approach meand wish me a Happy Hannukah, A Lovely Rhamadan or a Merry Kwanza, I would accept their well wishes with the intent under which they were offered, smile and wish them a Merry Christmas.

But that's just me.

I feel you should not be offended by anything another person does. Be offended by what they do TO you or to YOURS!

If you want to call the early sixties "a few years ago" then you're correct.
There was no War On Christmas when I was a child but there was certainly the commonly uttered phrase Happy Holidays.

There is even one of those holiday jingle with that title, that predates the birth of anyone on this board.

FTW. Happy Holidays and Merry Christmas are not mutually exclusive. One is specifically aimed at Christmas, the other to cover the entire holiday season; Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Years, Hanukkah etc....

I swear, sometimes people are so ready to be offended they make up sh$t to be offended by....and that offends me dammit! LOL.
