Rick is correct in that they believe the extra $41 a week for the people at the top of the scale will mean they'll spend it. You cipher that out amongst all of us and it is dumping a lot of money into the economy. I would rather have my $27 extra a week to invest as I see fit than let them piss it away. Can't hurt the economy going into the stock market either. So I guess I'm a convert on this one as long as it's not a primer for easing in the Healthcare Tax on us. Seems like it could be a little lube job to make that suppository go in easier.

It's nice to have at least the 2% of what they have been strong arming us for, it should offset the increase in federal withholdings that our HR department informed us about today.

What increase? It's just set back to normal.

What you're seeing is the Making Work Pay credit no longer there.
