Seeing the thread in the hunting section about Sportsman's Warehouse reminded me......

How many of you remember Mashburns? Bought my first reloading equipment in there. Saw my first Ruger Old Army in there. Drooled over a couple of their custom guns....wanted a 7mm Mashburn in the worst way.


Southwest Shooters? Bought more bullets, powder and primers out of that place than I can recall.


Remember when guns were available at Old Paris flea market? Bought a Single Six and a Security Six there.

Plus one on Southwest Shooters. It was a pilgrimage made every trip to the city when I was young.

Yes to all the above. Never bought anything at Mashburns, but went and looked many times.

Me too. I bought my first rifle, a Remington 7400, 30-06 at the TG&Y on SW 74th and May back in I think 1986.

I have some 7.62x39 dies that came from Southwest Shooters close to 20 years ago. And OTASCO, I bought my first black powder kit there at the ripe old age of 9. Still have it.

My first pistol was/is a FIE "TEX" single action .22 revolver that cost $59 at Otasco.
