Everytime i dump a load of brass, i take it outside in the breeze and pour it slowly from a foot or so high and let the wind blow most of the dust away. I do the same pouring the media back in too.

You probably know this but products containing ammonia aren't recommended for cleaning rifle or pistol brass. I've been told that the ammonia weakens the brass. Although, you aren't the only reloader that I've heard of using brasso without any issues.
I don't dispute that at all. My personal experience as a weekend plinker and about two decade pistol and rifle competitor was that brass lasted me somewhere between 3-4 reloads before showing visible cracks usually around the case mouth, occasionaly in the body of bottleneck rifle cases. Maybe twice that I remember a total head separation with the forward half stuck in the chamber of my AR, and the back half ejected on the deck to my right. Fun times when the stopwatch was running and I just couldn't get that next round to chamber in the obstructed hole. Maybe I have Brasso to thank for those episodes.

A little Brasso in your media probably won't do much. I'd bet it's a bigger issue with the sonic cleaners if you use a higher dosage of Brasso in a liquid that is constantly in contact with the brass.

thanks for the help. i have tried everything i could think of. i even washed some in the washing machine. that works good but it takes the brass forever to dry. plus my wife was about to kill me when she heard her new washer making all kinds of strange sounds. i will try the dryer sheets and add some nufinish to my media and give it a whirl. my wife said it i can't figure something out she was going to buy me a sonic cleaner. i just don't want to wait for it to dry.

NuFinish and Dryer sheets for me. I take the used ones from my wife, that way they don't smell as clean. Can't be having brass that smells like "spring breeze" ya know!

I don't know if it was other issues, but I tried a new dryer sheet in the corn cob. All of my brass came out with a sticky residue on it. Even the inside of the tumbler had it on the walls.
Had to clean each piece off by hand. I've put in used dryer sheets for a long time with no issues, and have used them after trying the new dryer sheet.
I'm sticking with the used ones from now on.

I think he's probably referring to the Thumbler model B with stainless steel pins. http://www.stainlesstumblingmedia.com.

He is. Saw how well it worked by using my setup a few times and I guess he decided to take the plunge. Using stainless steel media, liquid dish detergent, and a little bit of Lemi-shine and brass cases come out shinier than new and with primer pockets clean.

How are you drying your brass?
