The authors of the Constitution got so much right but I really think failing to put term limits in place was a huge oversight. It is incredible how rich these politicians become in office due to corruption. Our government is no longer for the people it is for the politicians.

I really think this was just something they didn't/couldn't foresee at the time. I think they would roll over in their graves to see the kind of power and influence wielded by our "public servants" who make... what, nearly triple the national average income now? Plus ridiculous perks and benefits and retirement? And the perks from the influence... wow. It is ridiculousness.

We need a Constitutional Amendment for term limits. 2 terms either House OR Senate, 3 terms COMBINED.

Uhhh...how about slavery? We have amendments on the constitution for a reason.
