There is a video series that is 13 hours in length called The Truth Project.

Our Sunday school class went through that, and I was initially excited about it because the trailers played it off as being an academic exploration of the subject. In reality, it was academically dishonest and nothing but a propaganda piece. The fact that they didn't even know the definition of a scientific theory speaks volumes (gravity is "just a theory", relativity is "just a theory", even germ theory is "just a theory"). It was somewhat depressing that I had to explain to my whole Sunday school class what the big bang even was (including the mid-school science teacher) because they had never heard anything besides "It's wrong because the Bible says different"...

It's telling that there were no scientific experts involved...Scared of something Focused on the Family?

Here's a non-religious person saying that humans are born "bad" and all have a propensity for what we would call evil, or the want to harm others for no moral reason. Kids do it all the time...as they get older, it usually goes away.

It takes work to become "not evil". Much like the second law of thermodynamics, it takes work or energy to conquer chaos and entropy, and it takes work to overcome evil internally and externally.

Whether that work is manifested through religious pursuits or personal morality of a non-religious nature, that is one's choice...

Perhaps you missed the part in that where they spoke of the differences between hypothesis, theory, and law in science?

As evil as the human species is its a wonder we still exist. I think humans are very peacefull by nature but the evil get more attention.

From the Bible we know one son killed, therefore evil exists. We also know there was more family than just 2 sons. More were peacefull than evil or we would not exist.

I believe humans are potentially violent by nature, not all people, just some people have control of their tendacies to commit violence, especially heinous violence, and apparently others do not. And it is starting to look like we have way too many people out there who need psychiatric care badly who arent getting it. But, IMO, our society today is actually probably a helluva lot safer to live in than our distant past was.

As a Christian, I would be very wary of anything Focus did. May be an unpopular view here, but too many "Christian" organizations simply frame the evidence around their side.
