I am not 100% sure. My understanding is that a CCL will no longer be good there. Maybe that should have been the question. Will you go, if you can not take your gun?

I've been wondering about this as well. In the past, traveling to CO with your CCW was no big deal but with their new laws on mag capacity and other such ridiculous notions, who knows.

won't even slow down a Colorado visit. be smart and mind your business while visiting. Seriously someone is not visiting the amazing state of Colorado because of their gun laws? just wow. Jeezus, it wasn't that long ago that wonder 9's and the like where not everyday weaponry.

Any of you all remember those snubbys that many thought they couldn't live without. Those work in Colorado also, If you are worried about a hi-cap mag ban.

So, anyone actually have links to post about CO ccw law changes, or is this all about suspicion and hearsay?
I'll be going at some point this summer, at least to Pagosa. Since I usually take my little Kimber RCP, capacity hasn't been an issue. Inability to carry IS an issue.
Going to CA as well. Legal CC isn't an option for visitors there.

Gun laws cause Moffat County outfitters concern for future

Hunting might not see a large downturn in 2013, but other gun events have been affected. The International Defensive Pistol Association regional shooting championship in Montrose and the Ruger Rimfire Challenge World Championship were canceled as a result of the new gun laws. Both were scheduled in July, just after the legislation will take effect.

Hat's off to Ruger for canceling this event!

Now, if they'd just get their corporate HQ the hell out of Connecticut and into a 2A friendly state.

I don't know what credence I can put into this, but family from Canon City was down a few weekends ago and the discussion about Colorado's gun laws came up. My brother-in-law told me that there were already efforts to get them repealed.

As for me, I'll still go to Colorado as it is still a beautiful state, especially since I spend very little time in the cities. I have no firearm that has larger than a 15 round magazine, so that is certainly not an issue.

Another family member, currently living in Tulsa, will soon be retiring and will be moving to Colorado Springs in August. Even more family members have purchased 160 acres with an RV park in Colorado. Now, unless that RV park is not set up for RV's as large as our RV/home is, I'll likely be in that area when the wife and I retire. At least for the summer months, before heading south for the winter.
