Because at this point it is strictly hearsay.
There isn't a LEO around that will/would/or could do anything to this guy if I call up and say "I heard that he threatened to kill someone."

Now, if he commits the act of receiving an handgun across state lines illegally and we add the threats to it, THEN they might be able to do something.

Dave

Oh, I thought you were actually witness to the individual's threats.

So now it's gonna be "I heard this guy is illegally transferring a firearm."

I would refer you to line 7 of the original post.

In addition, I know that the intended recipient of the transaction has stated on more than one occasion that he could get away with killing a certain LEO because he would claim the LEO threatened him.

I know of at least two if not three people that this guy has threatened.

Dear ratski Dave,

Assuming the quote above and the OP are true...you, sir obviously hang around the wrong people. I have never in my 52 years of life ever heard, much less on "more than one occasion", anyone say they could get away with killing a LEO. Find a better class of friends. This, of course, is merely my suggestion and opinion and you are certainly free to continue and associate with folks of questionable and illegal character. Keep us posted on the activity. We are always here and ready to assist.

I hope no one loses their life because you chose to sit back and question legalities.

I agree that a better class of people is needed in this case.
I also wish I could make more of the details available as it might clear a few things up, but I can't until "after"
This guy thinks that he is above it all.
Unfortunately, people may get hurt because of his attitude and the subservient attitude of people around him.
And, at this point, there is nothing that I can physically do.

If he does take possession of the handgun (and no, I am not in that chain of evidence) THEN I may be able to do something.

The point of this entire thread was to see if anyone thought that local law enforcement and/or the ATF would actually do anything, or if they would just poo-poo it off.

So if I have a family member with 2 houses, one in OK and one in TX, and I give them a gun at their OK home, can they take it to TX or is it an illegal transfer?
