Never understood the concept of scuba in Oklahoma lakes.

Actually it's in NW Arkansas, and it's deep and pretty clear. Great fishery for big stripers, though one does well to hook one or two a day.

I'm not a diver, but would think Beaver would be pretty good for this part of the world. I was there fishing one weekend a good many years ago, and a boater let his boat get free while he was launching it. He swam after it, didn't make it, and divers recovered his body in less than a half hour from the start of their search. At that time, on the south edge of the lake, it was as clear as bathwater.

Ok, got me there. Didn't realize it was in AR or any better than any other lake around here. But I know lots of people who've dived Oklahoma lakes and I just can't imagine it being enjoyable, personally.

Lakes like Tenkiller and Eufala have flooded structure that are interesting to dive.

There's a school bus, an old ampitheatre and a cemetery that you can dive. I haven't dove there but have been with friends that did.

Beaver has some structure by the damn. One park even has a rope tied off by the ramp, you follow it down to something (old school bus maybe?).
There is part of an old town or something like that underwater as well.

I'm sure there is info online about it. I just overheard a co-worker talking about it. (not my cup o tea)
