Ya know, if we were to keep our meddling asses out of the affairs of others they might quit blowing **** up. I'll be real honest, I feel the same about Muslims as I do snakes, the only good ones are dead, but it's if I leave them alone they seem to leave me alone.

How strange... You and I actually agree on something! I really would rather shoot one than look at them.. Snakes to. BUT sometimes to kill a snake you have to cut the head off. We should kill them there before they have to be killed here.

That's a lot of killing and some snakes are good, despite my disdain for reptiles.

One point i feel the need to make about VIET NAM which might be hijacking this thread. WE DID NOT LOSE THE WAR IN VIET NAM.

We forfeited. I served with a guy from SVN who came to the U.S. after we departed. Not a pretty picture he painted.
If I fight three or ten rounds of a boxing match, then leave - who wins?

On the other hand - our guys quit getting bombed/shot when we left, and last I checked, the U.S. hasn't been the target of any VN attacks.

Depends on your views of winning. Korea, Vietnam and several South American and African Wars, were part of the Cold War. Communism, while still existing is no longer the threat it once was.

So yes the battle was won.
