Islam is one of the many things that I know very little about.

What it drawing so many people to follow these teachings?

I'm sure you folks have far more insight in this, so I'm ready to learn.......

Depends. Eastern or Western practice of Islam? Radical or Moderate? What draws people to Christianity?

It's a good question, though. I've often wondered the same thing.

In many parts of the World, it's the same motivation that draws people into Gangs.

It's a violent "Religion" so you either play along or you're a target.

Plus, they reproduce like rats so lots of people "Born" into it.

You could also ask what drew people to Charles Manson or Jim Jones? What drew people to Naziism or Communism? There will always be those people who are attracted to the idealistic or charismatic leaders/teachings/promises that are in contrast to whatever they originally believed. As P. T. Barnum said, "There's a sucker born every minute."

Domineering sex. Permissible slavery. Sanctified conquest. Visions of horny grandeur in the afterlife. No need for toilet paper. :angry3:

Love of bacon would never let me fall victim to that decadent and perverse lifestyle, though. :thumbup3:

WINNER!!!!!!

Oh, and for many of those within the religion, add in the stupidity needed to fall in line with a philosophy where one dies if one leaves the faith.

God designed humans with a soul that instinctively reaches out to their creator. For those humans (the vast majority of humans that have ever lived) that reject that kind of relationship, they redirect that urge toward something else--politics, money, environmentalism, false religions, pretty much anything. The harder that they fight against their creator, the easier it is for them to cling to beliefs that oppose him. If you hate the God of the Bible, it's a pretty easy hop to Islam.

Other than mormans, do Christian religions believe in sex in the afterlife?

*******BASED ON MY UNDERSTANDING DISCLAIMER***************

No. Biblically speaking, sex is meant for a married man and woman for the purpose of reproduction. Since there will be no married couples or need for reproduction, there will probably be no need for sex. The love and joy shared in heaven will more than compensate the one earthly desire considerably.
