I don't know about expert, but I have put a Bunch in
Don't buy the cheapest, the kind with backing wears nicer
Make your joints tight, leave room on the outside for it to expand
A Little good quality wood glue is your friend
You didn't ask about hand scraped or bamboo, so lets just know its better and more expensive.... ;)

I've done a bunch....

What are you wanting to know?

If not DIY, expect to pay $1-$3 a foot to have it installed.

Door jambs need to be undercut, same with brick fireplaces...

I have a floating wood floor in my kitchen and dining room I'd like to replace. The problem is I don't know about ripping the old crap up and then putting new down. Guess I need to get a estimate and have it done right.

I did my living room in an evening and it turned out really good for a first time. Take his advice on under cutting I did not do that and where I grew my fire place it looks un finished, I wonder if it's too late to get that done.

When I got mine I got the highest quality matting they had and I'm very happy with it as it doesn't have a hollow sound, and it's held up for 2 years with 3 dogs in the house.

Here is a pic of my buddy helping me install it.

Looks good
Put some small 1/4 round trim around the f/p, stain it the same color as flooring, caulk it in
You could take it out and undercut the f/p, would be more work, would look better too..... ;)
