Is there someone close to Haskell that could find or knows the number for the concrete storm shelters on highway 72 between Coweta and Haskell? It was in a field next to the road and said $2,000 installed. It's been a while since I saw it and it may not be there anymore.

Our house was hit be an F2 last March and my wife will have a panic attack if we are ever under a tornado warning again without a shelter.

Or if someone can recommend an outside, in ground shelter, that would be appreciated.

I'm in the Owasso area.

$2k seems very inexpensive. I haven't seen less than $2700 installed for the past several years. I'm near Haskell but am about to leave for a few days, so no way for me to drop down that way. I would if I could, but I'm on a tight timeline tomorrow brother.
Good luck and if you find out that it really is $2k, let me know as I'm in the market too.

That is what I was thinking too, $2,000 seemed cheap. I am going to drive over there in the next few days to see if I can find the place. I will post up the information if I have any luck.
Thanks

Well, I jumped on Google Earth and tracked this down. I don't remember that location or the price being such, but without driving over there this is what I found. The sign says $2,995 but the phone number is smeared.

And here is the intersection near the image above.

Check with Hausner. They are located in Drumright. Hausner built the slope front that Biggs Backhoe installed for me and I'm very happy with the shelter.

Check the local septic companies. Seriously.

around here we had Vets Septic and Red Dirt Septic installing concrete shelters. Really hard to beat them.
Most places, a smaller concrete unit, like a 60x84x74, should be ~$2400-2500 installed.

Our 8' square buried unit cost $2700.00 5 years ago when we had it installed. We registered it with the county emergency management unit. They came out and took gps coordinates in case we get trapped in there with fallen tree's.
