You can bet so did Colt, S&W, Ruger and many others. Actually, I wouldn't be surprised to find the NRA donating to many of these same pols - they gotta pay to get access to give their point of view, right? If you ain't got cash to donate, odds of you getting face time with a powerful politician on a national level are pretty GDed slim.

I guess I'm just simple minded, but this makes ZERO sense to me. Buying access to someone you know is opposed to you? I don't need to give you money to to you to ESAD. Where did my planet go? Who stole it?
SA and RRA are obviously coordinating this whole azz covering effort. Hopefully, their apologists will realize that SA and RRA are IFMA. IMO, the only way they recover is to get the carve out removed from the senate bill. There is no mea culpa big enough to fix this otherwise. And since both are privately held companies, I don't think they can trot out the old "responsibility to the shareholders" line.
On another note, I've been interested to see that prominent Youtube channels like Sootch00, MAC, IV8888 and others have been strangely silent thus far. Hank Strange is the only one I've seen address this, and even he had his facts wrong...thought it was about tax breaks.
