Oh, that's not God's fault, either. Free will and all. Satan made his choice and now he pays the price. So he takes his angst out on man and causes all this evil in the world. God just sits back and enjoys the show.

Ok, this is my last comment on this subject. I apologize to the mods for getting this thread off track.
Whether the Spiritual realm or the Earthly realm, freedom has consequences. And they're not always good ones..

We're just having an adult discussion. This thread needs a detour anyway, the Shooting reporting is bordering on silly at this point, so much misinformation being tossed about.

I'm not sure how you mean that but I see God's will, his law if you will, that we love Him and love our neighbor as ourselves, done every day all around. Unfortunately, just as in the first fall I also daily witness people who act out of spite, hate, malice, or unconcerned neglect toward their neighbor and, I presume, God. Mankind's story is a tale of tears and suffering punctuated by ordinary and heroic acts of love and self-sacrifice that give me at least the hope to carry on.

I was referring to those who say gods will is always done, someone dies it’s god will........ that kind of thing.....and if this were true god will was always done then there was no reason for Jesus to instruct followers to pray that “god’s will be done on earth as it is in heaven” he’s said when you pray ...pray something ilke this.....and you don’t need to pray for God’s will to be done it everything that happens here is his will there would be no need to pray for it if that were the case

Now there's news that the shooter checked in on the 25th, 3 days before authorities said he did. Who can you believe at this point.?

Honestly, I know people WANT information and that forces authorities to give press conferences before they really know anything but reporters are so desperate to be known for "breaking a story" that I don't think any of them stop to actually verify anything any more.

I listen to the news reports but figure 6 months from now we still won't know the real truth. I blame the news media for that a little more than the authorities. Not much more, mind you, but the authorities have less to gain by putting out unverified info than the media this time, so ... it kinda fluctuates with me.

Yeah it’s difficult to blame the police here, I would like to know what the note said (though)...that would be a great start but it might be something damaging or something that would inflame half the country.

Personally I think not a damn thing should be said or released for at least 48 hours after an incident like this.

Sure, have a press conference, release relevant public safety information like whether there is still a threat or the shooter is dead/in custody etc...but keep the yaps shut about everything else until some kind of picture comes into focus.

Re: The "note". This is a classic case of interpretation and viewer bias. Did you see a note? Or did you see what looks like a pen and a piece of paper/note pad, something that is present in every hotel I've ever checked into, and extrapolate that into the presence of a note?

The note is just a best guess, so it’s fair to say it may very well be nothing. But extrapolating the pad and paper on a table next to the body isn’t exactly an outrageous extrapolation....but it’s equally fair to say one photo does not a crime scene make ..... it’s a hunch at best at this point
