The truest hypocrisy here is each side thinking they’re not hypocrital while judging the other groups hypocrisy. People **** about the president daily regardless of who’s in the office. People said stuff about obama and Michelle fail that would have gotten a show cancelled if in a different situation, just as people talked about George and Laura before that. Biases are definitely present but “social justice,” (for lack of a better word) is a pendulum that swings left to right and right to left every handful of years. acting as if it’s new and different each time comes with it’s iwn set of blinders. So, yes confirmation bias is ithe cute buzz word of the minute but it fits the situation.
Perhaps we watched different media agencies back then, because I definitely remember a constant barrage of anti obama from a few, just as iceberg seen a few defend trump. Not long gone are the the days of obama’s Terrorist fist jabs, secret Muslim messages, hidden gay lifestyles, birth certificates, connections to isis, and all sorts of stuff.Again the "it's all the same" rhetoric is cute but just doesn't hold water. Naturally, on a fundamental level there's criticism of every President along with a ton of humor... no worries. However, you'd have to be absolutely blind to have missed the media defense of Obama. Whereas now, again, it's a constant barrage. It translates to left or right leanings as well even on a subtle level.
Imagine if a country singer had held Obama's capitated head on stage? Ya think it would be translated to racism? Maybe? or just plain criticism?
I don’t know if a country singer holding obama’s Head on stage would be translated to racism. It is very possible, the race card IS over used today, but it would heavily depend on the artist and his/her history. I can think of a couple that would probably get away with it.
Nice straw man,So you're telling me you're completely oblivious to the constant cries of racism and bigotry from the left starting with Obama's election in lieu of any real discussion? Hell it was so strong, it was what got Trump elected.

“You know, the thing is our show is steeped in passion. Every week I strive to show the world as I see it, unfiltered. Sometimes I should probably have a filter. I accept that. I take it seriously when I get it right and I do take responsibility when I get it wrong,”
“Our piece attracted controversy of the worst kind,” Bee said of the segment about the Trump administration’s immigration and border policies that ended with her calling Ivanka Trump a “feckless ****” who needed to “do something about [her] dad’s immigration practices.”
“We spent the day wrestling with the repercussions of one bad word, when we all should have spent the day incensed that as a nation we are wrenching children from their parents and treating people legally seeking asylum as criminals,” Bee added. “If we are OK with that then really, who are we?”

Nice straw man,
Do I think the race/ bigot card was used more after obama got elected, sure. Did I see and hear more overt racism/ bigotry in that time, yep. Do I think it applied in every case, no.
To think this is one sided is well, just ignorant.
What we're seeing today is a concerted effort to overthrow a legitimate presidential administration using nothing but pure hatred and invective. Even when we were busy *****ing about Obama for 8 years, we lacked one critical feature, a bully pulpit. We preached to the choir and generally just commiserated, just as they do over on DU or Daily Kos now about Trump. The difference are the number of powerful enemies with national audiences and serious federal government titles in front of their names, who are actively undermining this administration every. single. day. without. reprieve.
This is so damn true. And just look at the fact that Trump is excelling in spite of all of it and consider what it could be without all the adversity.
It's a constant avalanche of negative coverage and it's absolutely designed to take the administration down. Being somewhat jaded, I recognize that it's no coincidence that Bee aired this attack the day before her televised "Honors" award from the Television Academy. It was a pre-planned attack designed to increase ratings for the award show, which would've otherwise flopped entirely. Instead, people tuned in to see whether she'd be contrite or righteous for calling Ivanka a c__t. Well she didn't disappoint her faithful followers:
Can you imagine what would have happened if the same was said about Chelsea Clinton? My God Hillary would have snatched the big red button from Bill and hammered it after retargeting!
Confirmation bias just doesn't apply if you look at ALL the facts. JMO, YMMV
