Sorry to hear of the accident. I still wear some scars from accidents at work over the years, but never sued the company or took workmans comp because I had the time to take off although others raped the process for minor incidents.Yikes!

Yours is different. It was not caused by you, but by a proven workplace hazard. If you sue to recover just your lost wages and time off, be sure the lawyer fees, taxes, etc are included in the settlement. Don't sign the final waiver if there is any inkling of weakness, bad health care or whatever. They will offer a big settlement that looks inviting to buy that new truck, but your health is worth much more and if not done properly could result in money out of your pocket for future repair of the issue.
By Oklahoma law, you cannot be fired or punished for using workmans comp if its a legit claim.
