What I found most interesting is that you do NOT have to preemptively tell the officer you have a firearm on your person or in your vehicle during a traffic stop. You only have to tell the officer if asked. If being detained or being arrested, this no longer applies.
true but your well advised to inform them.

Man.... I agree 100 percent. Why create a hostile environment, and a stigma for those of us that don’t push the agenda?

I think anyone who carries an AR into a restaurant should be required to plink 6 bottles off a rack at 200 yards or pay the tab of everyone there. I suspect a lot of these tacticool Rambo wannabes couldn’t hit one without emptying a mag. Yes, it’s within their rights to do it. It’s also within my rights to think it’s stupid.

IMO, it's beyond silly to walk around in public under normal circumstances with a slung rifle or AR pistol. It's heavy, bulky, likes to bang into things and as hard as you may try, invariably you'll wind up muzzling something you wouldn't want shot. Beyond all that people will look at you like you're either a dumbass or a threat.

Yet I still wholeheartedly support this new law in every way. In the event of civil unrest or widespread threat, it will be legal to do something quite prudent, which is carry a loaded rifle for defense.

My rifle will stay in the safe for now and I'll continue to carry concealed under license. JMO, YMMV

I think it's actually there intention to create awareness and show a peaceful citizen can be trusted with this law.
However flawed his thinking may be.

And some of them are attention whores out trying to get a rise, we have all seen these types, and if they are carrying a camera it is not with good intentions!!
