Ok, after getting burned by BCA on going cheap for my handguard, I need recommendations. Hopefully the newest 1 3/16th barrel wrench I order will be here shortly and now I need some sights or optic on this thing. Right now my funds for this build are almost nil, so I am looking for a red dot for less than $100, hopefully under 60. I know, you get what you pay for I just don't have the funds right now for a $200+ red dot. I just want something that I can sight in and use until I can afford a better one.

Here is a Reflex site. Don't get any cheaper. Says it needs a bit of tinkering.

You can get the Sig Romeo 5 for a $100.

If you can find one of these for $100, I don't think you can beat them. I had one briefly for about 5 minutes. Never mounted it before it went to another member, but it seemed very high quality and I've seen a couple torture tests on YouTube where it was abused and did well.

If you can find one of these for that price, buy two! I've got a couple and paid double that for each one and thought they were well worth the money. Motion activated, small enough for my Scorpion and holds zero. I think mine takes the CR 2032 battery you can find at any Dollar General.

Bigred, where did you find such sorcery? At the bottom of a lake next to King Arthur's sword? Do I just need to practice Google-Fu? It HAS been a while.

I have the sig Romeo 5 and it is excellent. I have compared it to my aim point micro and my Primary Arms micro dot and I will tell you they are all about the same. Even the dots look the same. Of course I have an astigmatism so that is why they look the way they do for me. But I wouldn’t hesitate to buy another one. That goes for the PA micro dot as well. I also have the bushnell and it has been good as well. You can tell it’s not as good but still not a bad sight. I have seen torture tests of the PA and Sig and they both took a beating and kept on working.
