This is the only one I'd consider doing.

We have done two Alaskan cruises. One started in Seattle and returned to Seattle for a 7 day cruise.
Second one was a flight to Anchorage, stay for a couple of days to visit the area and take the train to the Cruise ship. End up in Seattle.
The second trip was far superior because you get to spend the entire day in each port on the one way cruise vs just a few hours on the round trip cruises.
Always fly into Anchorage on the right side of the plane because you get to see 5 glaciers on final approach and book the left side of the cruise ship when going south so you're always looking inland vs looking at open sea on the right side of the ship while heading south.

I don't know if it's going to be for good, as the seniors that still have money will keep them afloat.
What will happen is that cruise prices will likely go really cheap with tons of incentives for those that can still go. The companies have to remain alive until such time business can pick up and all rooms be sold way in advance like it was in the past.
Cruises will be dirt cheap is what I'm predicting like resorts in the Caribbean after Hurricanes pass through. We did two of those resort vacations in Cozumel and Cancun including airfare after hurricanes passed nearby cheaper than a weekend at a stateside resort.
You just have to be prepared for minor inconveniences like a ship washed up onshore at the beach and repairs going on around you.
There are a lot of higher end Cruise's that cover the world and last 12 months. Those are going to have a hard time from now on.
And the others will suffer eventually from the failed market. The last ones to take a cruise from now on is them old folks who pay all the bills.
They are done

Alaskan cruise at the end of May last year was great. Average age was probably upper 30's I would guess. Lot's of kids. Probably depends greatly on the time of year what the age group is. I would imagine, of course there's no winter Alaskan cruises though.
Cruise's cover the world and last 12 months for $85,000. Those are the ones that are making bank and will fail.
Take 70% of your clients out of the picture - the seniors - and your bankrupt in 6 months.

Even before Covid 19, cruises seem to be floating Petri dishes, the Alaskan ones are the only ones that have ever had an appeal to me. Not now. May the odds be ever in your favor.

Well, that's old news now. The WHO is nothing but an arm of the Chinese Government. The Chinese have invested billions in the infrastructure of Ethiopia where the head of the WHO comes from.
Trump has pulled funding from the WHO and its about time. His next swamp cleaning needs to be draining the swamp of the United Nation.

Back when I worked in Albuquerque I made like 6 trips up to Alaska. Really enjoyed it up there. Made almost as many trips to Seattle.

Got to go up to Nome and Fairbanks too. Interesting places. :)

I wonder if the effects of this corona virus varies by sex, race, blood type, health conditions, and any of the many variables between us all. I think it would make an interesting study that might lead to some tools to fight this virus or at least aid in identifying risk factors.
