If you were an Auto Club member you could have it towed for nothing. Might check your insurance some have a tow benefit.

PS pump and A/C compressor just unbilt and move aside. Bailing wire often helps hold them out of the way. Transmission cooler lines are removed from the radiator, try to plug them somehow or they tend to drip for a while. Remove any clips hilding them to the engine and then let them dangle. Then remove the radiator, fan, fan shroud, etc., let the condensor hang loose. Good time to pull the hood if not already done. Then get your wiring disconnected, dont overthink the wiring, take a few pics of how it lays in there, but the connectors only go to one thing. Hook up your hoist, unbolt those last two bolts, as discussed in your other thread, then bump the engine forward a wee bit, then up.
The reason engine hoist hydraulics are so strong is to test the tensile strength of any pieces of wiring, or cables that you missed. Double check before hoisting all the way out.
Then simple swap all ancillary engine components to the new engine and reverse the procedure. Shouldn’t take more than an hour or two.

The above was copied from a thread on a Chevy forum. Might give you a little insight on what you are faced with. Tried to provide a link to the forum but how to copy and paste a link on this tablet iludes me.

I am sure it gives people lots of comfort to know their doctor was refreshing with a YouTube video before putting in a central line or chest tube!
.
Wow! you really do that? I've seen them open a PDR before the internet but this is big new, wait until the media gets wind of how modern medicine is done. (LOL)
Don't disconnect the AC compressor, disconnect it from the engine and lay it aside on the fender with hoses intact!

It's just refreshing steps, if you don't do some of those things but every few weeks or months, you want to make sure you prepare if you have a chance to do a quick review.

You don't see surgeons looking up surgical procedures in the manuals/books before they walk into the OR, but they often do.

Oh I know YouTube is a lifesaver... you know how many times I have watched a 'refresher' video in the middle of the night before performing some kind of procedure on someone??? lol

:eek2:
This would make a good TV commercial, Don't worry about we will figure out.

Here, but occasionally There.
I'm not mechanic, so take this with a grain of salt. If one is going to go with "studying" YouTube videos, study more than one. When we were ranch hosts of a retreat and reunion center in Oregon, one of our vehicles needed fixed because it wouldn't start. Owner of the "ranch" said to call "Joe Blow" that he knew did some mechanic work. (I should state that the boss ALWAYS looked for volunteers rather than pay people.) Anyway, after Joe Blow looked at things, he went to YouTube and worked at fixing the vehicle.

Two days after his "fix," the vehicle wouldn't start again. This time, I took it to a real mechanic. Cost the "ranch" $700 to fix what the "volunteer" messed up.

Yup, I spend a lot of time on YT watching videos and getting various points of view, techniques, opinions, etc. Mostly the last month or so this has been on computer stuff and has helped me pick out and build multiple new computer systems. YT has been absolutely invaluable to me, as a mostly visual learner.

Same. I will turn on a video and follow along while they are doing something I'm trying. As long as I can hear the words coming outta their mouths and look up every once in a while to see I'm doing it right it's all good. I can't just sit and watch a video ... All the extraneous yakking drives me NUTS! GET TO THE DAMNED POINT!!
