Our masks have those breathing and exhaling valves and the DO filter both directions. Our masks have 3 layers of cloth,a replaceable 3 layer filter that contains a charcoal filter and 2 different types of paper then 2 more layers of cloth. The valve forces all layers to be filtered before and after breathing. Our Dr recommended them. We replace the filters about every ten days. They were expensive but we both face respiratory challenges so the cost was worth it

Because people do not wear mask all the time. You can't unless you are an idiot. All the mask do is cut down the rate of infection. Just like they did for the polio outbreaks and some of the later flu outbreaks in more socially advanced countries than the US like Japan.

Also a lot of symptomatic people do not think they are. Oh it is just a headache or sinus infection.

In terms about caring about others....where does that stop? Again, the slippery slope knows no bounds with that regard. I've never heard you speak about wearing masks during flu season, what is different now? Other than you're trying to feel good about doing your part by talking down to others? You're not preaching about preventative measures, vaccines, and treatments. You're literally talking about the worse Covid defense out there and somehow feel good about doing it?

Also, why is it my fault, you, or anyone else in poor health..... leaves the house? How is it my responsibility to cater to the end product of other people's health choices?

Comparing Covid to flu season is like comparing an Anschutz to a kids kricket . Well so obviously you seem to have NO regards for others. Your choice but not mine. And I am really in very good health but was born with one protein short in my DNA. That protein is necessary for my immune system to send white blood cells to the respiratory system. I’ve had pneumonia 6 times in my life. 3 in the last 5 yrs. Only about 1 in 150000 has this so no cure. Don’t know your age but for a 74 yr old my dr says I’m in the top 15% other than this issue. Sob assuming I’m in poor health is wrong. Figures though considering your opinion on this subject! Lol
