Must have been about 20 years ago. There was a lot of talk about copyrights and trademarks for OU merchandise. Somebody (maybe an OU employee) confronted a guy wearing an unauthorized OU t-shirt and demanded that he take it off and give it to her. Something like that. Can't remember details for sure.

Apparently it was someone trying to sell OSU t-shirts with liquor ads also on them and the Stillwater police ran him off for not having a vendor license. I could have sworn somebody tried to take a man's counterfeit OU t-shirt away from him. Maybe not.

I saw Ted Nugent's brother and roadies beat down fake shirt dealers in KC and take all the shirts the guys had
I've heard Ted Nugent talk about this. Way back in the day they looked at it as theft and dealt with it like they did back then. IIRC it was very very early in his career and they only had one or two vendors, so they knew who the legit ones were at every show.

Some years ago I heard OU staff ,escorted by an officer, was hitting all the flea markets and confiscating all OU items that wasn't trademarked.
