Seriously guys unless something goes wrong AKGuy1985 and I have a trade going. It is not a wood stock Mini 14, but I can buy a wood stock off Ebay next time I get a little cash.

I am use to longer barrels. My 12ga was an 18" my 303 was a 25" most of my other firearms thru the years have been at least 20. My AK was a 16" and I did not care for it. I wish you could get a little longer barrel on the M-1 carbine but I have never seen one and with the cartridge I do not know if you would gain anything.

Why do you want a rifle for home defense? While your sneaking around the corner of a dark home, the perp just has to grab the barrel and they take charge of the weapon.
Personally I don't plan to do anything if someone comes into the house but take a defensive position, call 911 and wait for those that get paid to clear a home to arrive which might take awhile since we live in the sticks.
Should the alternative arise, I'm taking a pistol.

If a burglary I will be sitting back after calling 911 waiting for them to come to me with a pistol in my hand. If the economy crashes or the left fires up their base into rioting and looting I want something with a bit more punch. I doubt I will ever need it but I do like to be prepared as much as possible. I wish now I had not sold my 20ga and all the ammo I had for it but at the time I did not think it would ever get fired.

Semi auto, wood stock, big enough for deer or pig.

If you ask me really nice, and bring lots of Benjamins, I may sell you mine.
