OP I truly hope you are ok and not considering this as an option. I can’t even imagine what you are going through, but having lost more than one mentor and friends to suicide, it may have solved that individuals problem(s) but causes lifelong issues for everyone around you. Constant reminders of what else could I have done or should have done. Please, please, please find someone to talk to if you are having these thoughts. IT’S NOT WORTH IT!

Now to answer your question, I can’t say it will keep someone from entering heaven, but like others have said my eternity is not something I’m willing to gamble. I struggle enough as a man and human being as it is.

If I was in severe pain and absolutely no chance of recovery to a somewhat normal life I would talk to my family, get my affairs in order, and then commit suicide. I believe I would still go to heaven and my family would be relieved from seeing me suffer to an inevitable end.

I am not sure why you are asking this question. I suspect I know why but it is only a suspicion. My only question to you is this, is it really something you want to gamble with if you are a believer and saved?

While I may not be going through what you are, I deal with pain daily. Many veterans feel pain daily. I am available to chat

It's the most horrible thing a parent can go through, I far as I can tell.

The gun didn't cause it. There's usually a dark cloud of depression that connects every suicide. Sometimes there's drug abuse, sometimes there's trauma, but it always seems there's depression. It's so sad - it's like trying to stop a runaway train, and you feel helpless.
I can't even fathom it. Kudos to you for getting up every day and breathing.

Oh no...please, please don't say that! I'll be cursed forever!
It makes no difference to me really, we are all make our own decisions. All that was promised is that every ear shall hear. But I would tell you that Gods will is not always done on earth it isn’t automatic, and this is in fact biblical, right from the mouth of Jesus himself.

You can discuss depression treatment and hospice options with your doc. The patient doesn’t have to be imminent to qualify for home hospice. The doc only has to document that he anticipates death within the next 6 months to qualify. People have been on hospice for a year or more. Pain & anxiety control is very helpful. Families often say they wish they had started hospice sooner. Cant hurt to contact your MD About it.

Do you believe if a person ends their own life that precludes you from going to Heaven? in cases where people have intense suffering I wonder if God would hold it against them
No, many christians die having not repented of some things. Things you dont remember even doing. We need to remember that suicide at its roots are ungodly spirit driven (we all are attacked by ungodly spirits to influence our mind and behavior..) that a person whether they understand it or not, is so desperate to get free from the sinful, fallen, and cursed world and all that has come upon them, that they are willing to end it to get out of here. Ive dealt with a few suicides and do ministry. Feel free to message me if you want to. I know many people have responded and Im probably behind. I havent read every comment either.

Wife and I are both still working, vacationing, doing projects. Gotta keep moving or it eats you up.

That's why I hate to see someone kill themselves. They may be better off, but the ones they leave behind are screwed for life.
