Just got a DD PDW, only put one mag through it…

Do you have an adjustable gas block?

I did not realize .300 B/O has their own magazines.
I’ve heard a lot of people run standard 5.56 pmags, but I like the idea of having visibly different mags for my 5.56 guns and my 300BO. PMAG makes a 300 BLK-specific mag, but there is a company called lancer that supposedly has really nice mags that are easily distinguishable from pmags.

I do not believe it has an adjustable gas block.

I did just put an adjustable gas key on my 10.5” 5.56 pistol but I have yet to try it out or mess with tuning it. I like the idea of the gas key being adjustable rather than the block, just because it’s so much easier to adjust. However, I don’t know how it’ll compare to an adjustable gas block. I’ll find out soon with my 5.56, but I really don’t want to screw with a brand new DD BCG if I can avoid it.

I have used the Lancer Magazines in the past and they are nice to look at but I don't recall any performance advantages. I had the semi-clear magazines that I paired with my Lancer Sig Carbon AR, I will see if I still have any hanging around here at the house.

As for the adjustable key, I've not heard of that before but I will certainly use my google skills to see what I can find.

There is a ton of expertise on here and I have heard a few people talking about drilling out the gas port but I have no desire to ruin any of my stuff doing that because I don't have a drill press anymore. Hopefully someone will see this and provide what size drill bit you could use to expand your gas hole.

I really don’t want to modify the gun, at least until after I get the suppressor and test the perfomance. If there’s still an issue at that point, and I can’t correct it with an adjustable gas block/gas key, or change my loads to make it run smooth, then I MIGHT consider it. The thought of putting the barrel of my $2500 pdw on a drill press makes me super nervous haha.
