They were the reason that firearms were relatively cheap in the OKC area back in the day—they were both wholesalers as well as retailers.

Yep, they were. AND they were competitors that were within a few miles of each which made it even better. I was very price conscious and I would be some reloading at SW and some at OA. It was fun going back and forth between the two.

Wasn’t that long ago…. But I used to enjoy a burger at Goldie’s.

Going back to my childhood, Casa Bonita was pretty awesome. I also remember going to Der Dutchman for really special occasions. Pioneer pies was always a good place to eat also.

I am pretty sure that they are entirely different "businesses," but there is a HUGE Wall's Drug up in Wall, SD on I-90 and east of Rapid City. That store has a bit of everything in it.

That store is a destination in an of itself, takes at least a half day to go through it all
