Charlies Surplus in Midwest City long before he moved to Ada that was a great surplus store .

I don't think I ever went there, but I remember when he left MWC for Ada. Wasn't it called Charlie's Militaria, or something like that?

Yes it was and he had anything / everything in that store . It was real deal surplus store that and the old surplus store on Claussen .

It has been a minute or so, but I remember friends who were in the reserves talking about going to get stuff they needed from Charlie’s when the military didn’t supply it or the stuff they had in inventory was damaged. It sounded like a cool place, I just never had the opportunity to go there.

I did go to the two surplus stores on Porter in Norman. One was farther north and called Army Navy Surplus, but I can’t recall the name of the one on the corner of Porter and Gray (or maybe Porter and Main).
