We're doing okay. Just waiting on Grumpy to hit 67 so he can stop working and stay home with me. ☺ Bless his heart, he was so sure he was gonna die before he hit 50 (every man in his family before him and his brother had died at 50 or before) that the last 9 years have been an adjustment for him. 🙄 Silly fella ...
Dying or staying home with you must suck as his only options. 😘

I used to charge at Sears at 18% intrerest as well as other places years ago but paid those revolving accounts off and now have enough saved that I can pay cash unless the deal is too good to pass.
With the current economic atmosphere, I believe that people need to get out of debt as quickly as possible because the future is so uncertain due to political change.
The very worst thing that could happen is for one to lose their job and the creditors repossess everything including the house you live in and you and your family are on the street.
I have heard since I was a kid how things could get bad and I poo-pooed the idea since I was so young and now that I'm up in years, I see the wisdom of those who sacrificed so much during th4e Great Depression and subsequent WWII. But if all society falls and you have the Lord, you can withstand anything life throws at you and that is the most important thing one can do to prepare.

I have been working 75+ hours a week since July, it's easy to get out of debt when you are bringing home $1,800+ a week.
What? You mean hard work allows a person to pay off debt and make a better life for themselves? Amazing how that happens. Do you have to be old to do that or can young people do it "too"? Some members here think that's impossible these days. Good on you for not having their atttude.

And here I thought the cattle prod beside the bed was for the kinky stuff. Didn't realize it was for jumpstarting grumpy every morning. :naughty:🤗

I'm creeping towards 40. I bust my hind end for this company. I'm rewarded with large paychecks. At my former employer if I went over 60 hours a week I would be pulled in the office and probably wrote up. Right now it's unlimited overtime because we are short handed on both night shifts.
