All this talk about peanut butter has me considering a PB&J for lunch, because Filets and baked potatoes are on the menu for supper.

I’m not at all surprised by that article, but on the flip side, I’m convinced people that go overboard on cleanliness are sicklier than people that allow their bodies to get accustomed to mold and other ”impurities“ in the world.
We live with dogs and cats, so our house is never “clean”, but we’re also very rarely sick. I have a close friend who’s family used gallons of hand sanitizer before it was the politically correct thing to do, and at least one member of that family is at the ER or urgent doc once a month.
My grandfather's philosophy was that if you keep your body as a temple, letting no impurities in, it weakens the immune system.
He always told folks to smoke a cigar occasionally. Have a drink of whiskey from time to time. Eat foods that are bad for you every now and then. Thataway, if your body is subjected to an impurity, it won't go into shock.
Makes perfect sense.
A saying that keeps popping out of my mouth on occasion...

They help give us some immunity.
I was telling someone once about changing out bearings on a farm implement and that after packing the new bearing with grease, I just grabbed a handful of dirt to clean the grease off of my hands. Then a short rinse of the hands to take off the dirt.
That person didn't seem to like that idea.

I've got rib eyes in them fridge. No taters cuz I've found I'm allergic. Probably open a can of mushrooms and make a sauce to put on the side. I'm REALLY into the 'shrooms ...
