The plug and unplug is an interesting question. I heard from a very reputable dealer that a Glock representative commented that the slide is more prone to cracking with the plug. I have a feeling that there is some validity to this versus Glock just trying to save money on a plug. Now realize that cracking issues are probably for those shot tens of thousands of rounds. So, get that ammo ready and see if you can replicate the hypothesis above. :boxing3:

Mike's internal magwell blend is SSP legal.

As for cracked Glock slides, I've only ever seen one. It had gone full auto in a previous life and eventually cracked below the ejection port. As for the plug making slides more prone to cracking, well let's just say I don't trust mfg's reps any farther than I can throw them, and that goes double for Glock reps! :(

I'm not holding a lot of confidence in their comments as well. By the way, at IDPA Nationals, one of the Glock Reps stated that Glock will no longer provide night sights in future guns. I thought that this was interesting. Of course, one can always install aftermarket, but certainly is a cost savings when provided by Glock.

They've gone through several OEM night sight providers. Probably quit using Trijicon because the profit margin wasn't high enough and they likely have more warranty issues with the other manufacturers. I can't see how they would stop providing them to LE agencies that almost all require night sights on their RFP's though.
