Most of the issues seem to be DNS resolution errors. His DNS is running on the same VPS. When the VPS goes down, the DNS can't be updated to point elsewhere.

Yes the site has been down often here lately, but like other people say, its a free site. No you can't check to see if someone wants to buy your classified ad, but the classifieds are free too. I could see someone being mad if they paid to use the classifieds, but they are FREE. If you are only on this site to buy/sell stuff (like some people are) you sould leave and post on armslist.
I am I'm sure alot of people here, would be more than willing to pay a yearly fee to have access to the classifieds.

yea lol i have only been on since this past Dec. I couldnt get on the site for Friday and Sat. I checked the site from two computers and my iphone at least 6 times each day lol
Looks like it's back up and stable for now. I hope nobody see's this thread as criticism of the site. I think, quite to the contrary, this is about how much we love this place and miss it when it is gone
