There are a couple of guys on another forum who lived in Venezuela and got out a while back. They are brutally honest about what is going on and why they finally left. I believe one of them has family that wouldn't leave with them and are now basically trapped. I've watched that thread since it was started a couple of years ago. It is frightening.
We have had both dogs and cats over the years. Right now we have five cats. All were rescue type adoptions. We have two females about three years old that we only let out when we are here. They do pretty good on staying close to the back patio. If they wonder to far off and don't return when we holler from them, my wife gets her taser out. All she has to do is hit the button and let that thing start crackling and those two cats will run over you to get in the door. It the weirdest thing. She says she has never shocked either one of them .
EXACTLY why I like cats. I don't have to get up, and let them out. Very low maintenance. All I have to do is top off their food, and water once a week.Well good for you folks!! I like pets that will let me know they need "OUTSIDE" to use the restroom!!
