Yep, lots of us did. Fluff them up a bit and insert. That's why we lost our hearing but probably mitigated the time it took.

I use Caldwell E-Max Low Profile Electronic muffs. They probably aren't the absolute best, but I like them enough that I just ordered another pair from Amazon for when the little lady joins me at the range.
