Anybody watching the refineries?

Refineries have plummeted double digit percentages over the last couple of weeks. The issues causing the drop seem to be the current year standards for EPA RIN credits and the huge increase in those costs. If you think gasoline is expensive now, wait until these refineries have to fork out hundreds of millions to buy these EPA mandated credits.

It might be a good time to convert your vehicle to CNG!

With refineries exporting as much as gas as they are, let them stick it to the foreign countries.

That is great in theory, however, the exported fuel does not have to meet EPA standards and is much cheaper to produce. So guess what, the refineries that can export, are exporting more and more gasoline. And this is driving costs up because of less domestic supply.

Those foreign cars must be spewing their exhausts into a different atmosphere than the one we breathe over here. Good thing our American atmosphere doesn't mix in with that polluted French one!

And lets not forget the new sulphur standard that's fixing to hit. 30ppm down to 10ppm. 9 billion dollars for the refinery industry to comply.

Thanks EPA!
