I believe the NWS provides the info to the weathermen to report. If they provide bad info to the weathermen then what do you expect? The weathermen don't make this up. They just pass the info on to the public. Then the weathermen get blamed for misinformation. Let's get real folks. The weathermen are ordinary people that get excited, as you would, when the weather get bad and they have an adrenaline rush.
