its either a spring problem, or the bolt's been shaved down or lightened. Does it have an aftermarket bolt handle?

Whats probably happening is the bolt is extracting the case as its igniting, causing the case to become unsupported.

Get a new recoil spring would be #1 on the list

I will never buy another round of Remington Golden Bullet. I've had trouble with them in the past and the batch I have now is awful in my S&W 617. I normally get 4 out of 6 FTF every time I try it. Federal bulk runs like a clock in the same pistol. It is apparently a light striker and GB's like to be kicked in the butt. I have heard stories of GB's having their bullets pulled, revealing no powder in them. That seems far-fetched, but maybe not. I'll be glad when I get mine shot up.

I also get occasional FTF with GB's in my GSG.

Funny thing is, I have no problem with it in my Taurus 992.

I have also had bad luck with Remington rim fire ammo. Too many duds, I have also had very good luck with the Federal bulk with thousands of rounds fired with no problems.
