Its been known about those passports for awhile. Hopefully the passport numbers are known and will be blocked. Mine and others that have been renewed in the last couple of years are digitally registered.

Surprisingly accurate synopsis from a VERY progressive media outlet. The biggest thing I see missing is the Ba'ath origins of both Hussein and Assad, both of whom installed secular governments.

The Russian Defense Ministry held an open briefing devoted to the results of the decoding of flight recorders of the Su-24 bomber aircraft that was shot down by Turkish Air Force.

"We have all the necessary evidence to confirm the absence of facts to establish violations of Turkey's airspace by the Russian aircraft,"Sergei Dronov, Deputy Commander of the Russian Air Force said, RIA Novosti reports.

He added that the Russian bomber was carrying out its mission in the mountainous area of Syria and did not pose any danger to Turkey and its citizens.

The analysis of the data of flight recorders of the downed Russian Su-24 will be conducted openly. The use of special equipment allows to conclude that the decoding of the data was conducted as usual.

None of the countries that have been following the investigation of the incident with the downing of the Russian military aircraft has denied the information voiced by officials of the Russian Air Force, Defense Ministry and the President of Russia.

"No one, but Turkey, has refuted the data of objective monitoring of air conditions in the specified area of Syria," said Sergey Dronov, Deputy Commander of the Russian Federation Air Force.

First data of the decoding of the Su-24 flight recorders will be exposed on Monday, December 21 at the session of the Interstate Aviation Committee.

looks like Putin may be correct about Turkey supporting ISIS (ISIL) Daesh

==========

Anonymous claims cyberattacks on Turkey, declares cyber-war

ISTANBUL

from Anonymous video #OpTurkey

Hacking collective Anonymous has claimed responsibility for the week-long cyberattack on Turkey, which it accused of “supporting” the jihadist Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant (ISIL), and threatened additional attacks in case the alleged support continues.

‘Turkey is supporting Daesh [ISIL] by buying oil from them, and hospitalizing their fighters. We won’t accept that Erdoğan, the leader of Turkey, will help [ISIL] any longer,” the group has said.

Accusing Turkey of providing financial and logistic support to the militant group, Anonymous also threatened to launch more cyberattacks unless Turkey “stops supporting” the group.

“We will continue attacking your internet, your root DNS, your banks and take your government sites down,” it said. “After the root DNS, we will start to hit your airports, military assets and private state connections. We will destroy your critical banking infrastructure,” the group added.

The Anonymous attacks come only weeks after a similar accusation by Russian President Vladimir Putin, claiming Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan’s family was involved in illicit oil trade with ISIL.

Turkey and Russia has been waging a war of words, in addition to economic sanctions by the latter, since Turkey’s downing of a Russian fighter jet on Nov. 24 for violating Turkish airspace.

Erdoğan challenged his Russian counterpart Putin to either prove his claims or resign.

“Implicating my family with these accusations is especially immoral,” Erdoğan said, arguing that even Russians themselves did not believe in the claims.

Meanwhile, a U.S. special envoy and coordinator for international energy affairs refuted Putin’s claims that Ankara was profiting from an illegal trade with ISIL, explaining that the amount of oil smuggled into Turkey is “extremely low, has decreased over time and is of no significance from a volume perspective.”

The Iraqi Kurdish Regional Government (KRG) also denied the claims and refuted footage released by the Russian Defense Ministry allegedly showing trucks carrying ISIL oil to Turkey. The trucks in the footage were actually carrying oil from the KRG to Turkey’s Ceyhan port, head of the KRG’S energy commission said.

Turkey has been experiencing cyberattacks that started on Dec. 14, targeting nearly 400,000 websites with the extension “.tr.” The cyberattack nearly came to a halt in the morning hours of Dec. 21, and recovery and damage assessment has been launched by leading IT organizations along with Middle East Technical University (ODTÜ).

Turkish IT professionals in response banned access to the DNS from abroad and communication channels were re-opened when the cyberattack first started. Around 400,000 websites, however, were denied access from abroad.

IT professionals initially thought Russia was behind the cyberattack.

Exclusive: Islamic State sanctioned organ harvesting in document taken in U.S. raid

Islamic State has sanctioned the harvesting of human organs in a previously undisclosed ruling by the group’s Islamic scholars, raising concerns that the violent extremist group may be trafficking in body parts.

The ruling, contained in a January 31, 2015 document reviewed by Reuters, says taking organs from a living captive to save a Muslim's life, even if it is fatal for the captive, is permissible.

Anonymous takes credit for massive cyberattack on Turkey

Hacking collective Anonymous is claiming responsibility for a slew of cyberattacks on Turkey’s Internet that took down hundreds of thousands of the country's websites.

In a video, the loosely organized hactivist group accused Turkey of supporting the Islamic State in Iraq and Syria (ISIS), something the government has repeatedly denied.

Anonymous recently declared cyber war on ISIS in the wake of the terror attacks in Paris, which left 130 people dead.

"Dear government of Turkey, if you don't stop supporting ISIS, we will continue attacking your Internet, your root DNS, your banks and take your government sites down,” said a voice in the since removed video posted to an Anonymous YouTube channel, according to several reports.

"After the root DNS we will start to hit your airports, military assets and private state connections,” it added. “We will destroy your critical banking infrastructure."

ISIS Loses Key Supply Route to U.S.-backed Rebel Alliance

www.haaretz.com_polopoly_fs_1.693953.1451145314__image_3646097f50aebd82b10c5d2ae9185affd4dc74b.jpg

In this image posted online June 26, 2015 by supporters of the Islamic State militant group on an anonymous photo sharing website, Islamic State militants fire an anti-tank missile in Hassakeh, northeast Syria.

REUTERS - A U.S-backed alliance of Syrian Kurds and Arab rebel groups, backed by U.S. coalition planes, captured a dam on Saturday from Islamic State, cutting a main supply route of the militants across the Euphrates, an alliance spokesman said.

Colonel Talal Selo said the seizure of the dam helps isolate the militants' strongholds in northern Aleppo from their territories east of the Euphrates river, where Raqqa city, their de facto capital, is located.

Selo said the rapid advance overnight by thousands of troops from the Democratic Forces of Syria had brought the dam, 22 km (15 miles) upstream from Raqqa, under their control on Saturday afternoon.

Since the U.S.-backed alliance was formed last October, its fighters have opened several major offensives against Islamic State with the ultimate goal of capturing Raqqa.

Selo said the intensive aerial bombing by a U.S.-led coalition was instrumental in rapid advances since the campaign started four days ago.

"The coalition jets participated in the previous campaigns and this one and future ones too. We have a strategic partnership in which they provide the air cover and we provide the troops," he told Reuters.
