Budget MOL $600 prefer a private sale, for my sons birthday. During the recession he had to let go of a iwi magnum research 1911 and it would be cool to get him something nice but not break dads bank. Budget is more or less; what do you have?

@ssgrock3 you may want to ponder on this........I just left Atwood's in Norman and they have Rock Island, 5", blue, 45ACP, wood grip 1911's for $439.99 + tax.
FWIW I've owned two RIA's one in 9mm and one in 45ACP and never had a bit of trouble with them.........I gifted the 45 ACP to a good buddy and sold the 9MM to help fund another 1911 purchase.
