2017 Quail looking good so far

This year is looking to be good year so far. Lots of little ones running around. Was about 17 plus in this covey. They got up and flew about 100 yds. Should be another hatch coming along.

I've seen probably half a dozen quail this year running across the road at the Zink Ranch, on each of the last two mornings I was out there. Hadn't seen any in the years prior.

There's a bunch this year, probably more than last even. So other than the weather, this should put all the other "quail decline" theories to rest.

I saw more quail than normal this past weekend.
