45 raptor... new 308 based ar10 cartridge

I like new AR cartridges but doesn't seem to offer enough to make carrying around an AR10 and paying the extra for that platform when a .458 SOCOM or .50 Beowulf will get the same job done in a lighter andless expensive platform. Just my opinion...I hope it succeeds though.

The other thing it doesn’t do is fill a void in the 308 native capabilities. 300 Blackout, .458 SOCOM and .50 Beowulf all attempt to fill a perceived shortcoming of the 223 and made the same basic hardware work for bigger critters. The 308 doesn’t have that same problem so I don’t see the draw other than novelty.
