Nope, that was never one of the stated goals. But protecting 300 million Americans from a psychotic killer and his percieved nuclear and chemical weapons was. We do not, have not, and will not ever care about the people of any other foreign land.

THAT statement is in your opinion; many of us DO care about other people in other countries. Ask any vet who's had to watch or hold a dying child in a combat zone.

Uh ya they are free, wait till we pull out. It will be all out war


and it has been for nearly a thousand years. We did not go in for that, but thanks to all the bleeding hearts we have to make a humanitarian mission out everything we do to save their butts.

Obviously, they haven't. I distinctly remember something about WWI, WWII, Korea, etc. Either that or American citizens, all dressed alike, just went overseas to die.

I agree, but there is a difference in defending a country from outside attack and trying to save one from itself. The situation over there will never change. We did what we needed to in order to save ourselves from a serious threat.
It doesn't take much to see that the rest of what we are doing is simply for keeping up appearances.
