Android tablet help

Received an Android tablet the other day that refuses to connect to my network. I checked it is not in airplane mode and the password is correct. Reset to factory settings but still no joy. Any ideas?

It is just a cheapy Walmart tablet and I have a better one, but just wanted to get this one working as a backup.

My guess is that something is out of whack in the tablet. Take it back and get another one. Wyfy is a no brainer on tablets and phones.

Does your wifi have 2.4Ghz and 5GHz signal options? If it is an older tablet it may not be compatible with the 5GHz network.

It is an older tablet but my home network is older too so I think something is broken.

I got it into safe mode but now it will not come out of it.
